Swire Properties partners with the Victoria and Albert Museum, London (V&A) to present the critically-acclaimed exhibition Bags: Inside Out as the kick-off celebratory programme for Swire Properties’ 50th anniversary. The exhibition features over 240 objects that explore the ultimate accessory’s function, status, and craftsmanship. The inaugural Asian tour will travel to five of Swire Properties’ retail centres spanning five cities in 2022 and 2023, with the first stop at Beijing’s Taikoo Li Sanlitun, China, opening on 28 April 2022.
Curated by Dr Lucia Savi, Bags: Inside Out provides an unprecedented and comprehensive look at the ultimate accessory and examines the worldwide heritage of these highly covetable objects from the 16th century to today. The exhibition explores the function, status and craftsmanship of bags, and people’s longstanding fascination with this global obsession.
The final section of the exhibition “Collecting Bags” is co-curated by Swire Properties exclusively for the Chinese Mainland tour. This section features 10 bags from award-winning actress Tang Wei’s private collection representing cherished moments in the star’s life and career.
Featured international designers and fashion houses include Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Cartier, Celine, Chanel, Christian Dior, Fendi, Versace, Gucci, Hermès, Loewe, Louis Vuitton, Moynat, Off-White, Prada, Saint Laurent, Thom Browne, Tod’s, Valextra and more.

Art For Everyone @HKMoA, the city-wide art campaign that features 100 artwork images from the Hong Kong Museum of Art (HKMoA) across Hong Kong’s 18 districts, launches on 23 March 2021. The public arts campaign can be seen on over 380 billboards, digital displays and transport hubs, in public outdoor and indoor spaces. A custom-made bilingual augmented reality mobile application (AR App) is set to delight audiences of all ages.
