Established in 2008, Leo Gallery is  respected for being a progressive force in nurturing young and representing established contemporary artists across regions. A boutique gallery with spaces in Hong Kong and Shanghai, Leo Gallery has participated in a number of international art fairs, including Art Basel Hong Kong, Art Stage Singapore, Photo Fairs Shanghai, West Bund Shanghai, Art 021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair, etc. The group exhibition ‘Assembling Found Images’ curated by acclaimed scholar Gu Zheng, exploring works of Cai Dongdong, Lei Lei and Wang Ningde, challenging the perceptions of photography as a medium. One of the key challenges was to raise the brand awareness of the gallery among local audiences, promoting artists and exhibition through strategical approach that suits with the social context of Hong Kong.


Strategy A comprehensive PR strategy and crafted key messages were developed to position Leo Gallery as one of the important galleries in the region.

Narrative Leo Gallery nurtures young talent as well as represents established contemporary artists. The exhibition ‘Assembling Found Images’ pushes the audience to rethink their understanding of the power of photography as a tool with which to document history, nostalgia, collective human behaviour and identity.

Focus All communications and narratives are created to be focused on the gallery branding and the concepts of ‘Assembling Found Images’ that showcases artistic practice of working with found objects to explore new possibilities and subvert assumed restrictions around concepts of art production

Experience Top-tier media were invited to explore the artists’ practices with a first-hand experience during press preview. One-on-one conversations were generated for spokesperson to introduce to media on the gallery’s mission and the highlights of the exhibition.
